Project Description:
Raqqa ware Museum is a 3D interactive website experience which celebrates and presents the Raqqa Ware 2.0 collection of sixteen 3D artefacts. This online museum simulation responds to the socio-political identity crisis of these cultural artifacts and their vulnerability to exist free from destruction, reinventing the concept of sharing a digital collection in the 21st century. My vision for Raqqa ware 2.0 museum is to become symbol of optimism, rebirth, and an act of revival for the ancient art movement native to Raqqa. The online museum will be activated as a virtual simulation that invites the world to interact within its decorated themed rooms. This museum tells the story of sixteen ceramics which includes: pottery, dishware, animal figures, tables, lanterns and tiles. These 3D ceramics inspire the six themed rooms in the Raqqa ware 2.0 Museum which represent the six researched themes of plant life, astronomy, healing & protection, religion, mysticism and infinity. The museum is digitally crafted from scratch, and adorned with original architectural structure, textures, colors and ornaments that reflect the six themes, reviving the spirit of ancient Raqqa.
